SCHEZWAN PASTA

Schezwan Pasta… This is my go-to meal whenever I am tired and want to cook something quick… I actually call them Pasta in a jiffy! 🙂 When I was in college, pasta was always my go-to meal. This recipe brings a spicy and tangy twist… It is full of flavors and for those who love spicy food… the schezwan pasta is going to be your new fav guys!!!! Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 20 mins | Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups pasta
  • 2 tbsp Schezwan Chutney
  • ½ cup Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp dried Italian herbs
  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Cook the pasta according to the packaged instructions.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add schezwan chutney and ketchup.
  3. Now add the cooked pasta and mix. 
  4. Add in the herbs, chili flakes, and salt.
  5. Cook for a quick min and serve!

Notes:

  • You can use any kind of pasta. I used Penne. 
  • I used Ching’s schezwan chutney. You can buy it at any Indian grocery stores. 
  • You can add any veggies too if you want.
  • Add some pasta water if you like the pasta saucy
  • You can adjust the spice level according to your spice tolerance. 😊
