SCHEZWAN FINGERS
I am a sucker for Indian style Chinese food. Every year my birthday dinner or lunch has to be Chinese food and this recipe is one of my favorites. A perfect appetizer for parties and I assure you, this will be a hit!! 🙂
Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 30 mins | Yields: 15 -20 pieces
Ingredients:
- ½ cup shredded cabbage
- ¼ cup shredded carrot
- ¼ cup finely chopped green bell peppers
- ¼ cup finely chopped cilantro
- ½ cup Panko breadcrumbs. + ½ cup for coating
- 1 Tbsp Corn Starch
- 2 Tbsps. Ching’s Schezwan Chutney
- Salt to taste
- Oil to fry
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl, add the cabbage, carrots, and bell peppers. Add salt and set aside for 5 mins. Now squeeze out all the water.
- Once excess water is squeezed out, add the chopped cilantro, Cornstarch, ½ cup breadcrumbs, and schezwan chutney to the veggies and mix well till all the ingredients are incorporated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Now take a spoonful of the mix and shape them in fingers/rolls. Then coat them with some breadcrumbs
- Once the oil is hot, fry the schezwan fingers till golden brown.
- Once fried place them on a paper towel to drain excess oils.
- Now enjoy them with some Ketchup! 🙂
Notes:
- You can air-fry them too.  🙂
- You can use Schezwan sauce instead of Schezwan chutney
- You can also make fresh breadcrumbs if you like. 🙂
