CHANA AND MOONG SALAD

Presenting to you my go-to easy and quick chana and moong salad recipe. This is my lunch at least once a week. This recipe is not only ready in a jiffy but it is also healthy and filling. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

CHANA AND MOONG SALAD

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 5 mins | Total Time: 15 mins | Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup boiled green moong or green lentils
  • 1 cup boiled kala chana or black chickpeas
  • ½ cup chopped cucumbers
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 green chili (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • ½ tsp black salt (sanchar/kala namak)
  • ½ tsp dry mango powder (amchur)

Directions:

  1. Take a big bowl
  2. Add the chana, moong, cucumbers, tomatoes, green chili, and cilantro
  3. Add in the chaat masala, black salt, and dry mango powder
  4. Give it a good toss and your salad is ready!

Notes:

  • I boiled the chana and moong well in advance (soaked them overnight) Pressure cooked them the next day (2-3 whistles)
  • I used Badshah Chaat masala and Amchur powder
  • If you don’t want to use Amchur powder, you can add ½ tsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
